Niall Smith
Director - FCA
Niall began his accountancy journey in 2003 after completing his accountancy degree in University of Ulster. Having trained in practice for 5 years for a local firm gaining experience in a wide variety of businesses from the small farmer to audit of large local businesses.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2008 and going on to work as a financial controller for one of Northern Ireland’s largest haulage businesses for 9 years. During his time here Niall dealth with different businesses within the group carrying out management accounts and KPI’s.
Niall then joined the family business, Smith Concrete but could not let go of accountancy having been in it for 15 years. With the drive for further success he set up Niall Smith Accountancy Services Ltd in 2017 and it has continued going from strength to strength.
Niall specialises in supporting small businesses, particularly those who value proactive and strategic advice to support them with growth, tax-planning and core accounting services.
He has a keen eye for automation and utilising technology to improve the accounting functions and management reporting processes for a business - to ensure that business owners can use this data to grow and improve performance.
Outside the numbers Niall is a proper family man to his wife, children and dogs. He enjoys running, keeping fit and a nice dip in a juccuzi.

Shirelle completed a BA Hons in Accountancy & Finance in 2016 and started working with McGovern Accountancy shortly after completing her degree.
Shirelle gained a wealth of experience with Pauline before coming on board with Niall Smith Accountancy in 2020.
Shirelle has just got married and enjoys exploring Ireland.
